    As the kids going on the Belize Ecology trip are getting ready for their second payment, they have started up a new fundraiser! They’ll be selling cookie dough tubs, pasta boxes, and lots more.     This year the Big Sandy FFA is super excited about fundraising. They’re going to be selling fruit and Christmas wreaths until October 31. All the FFA members are going to be going around town to their family and friends to raise money for this amazing group. Hopefully, all of the kids can happily reach their goal and enjoy all the fundraising. The fruits that will be sold include oranges, grapefruits, and mandarins.     This weekend, on October 6th, is the volleyball parent’s night. The volleyball team has been working extremely hard this season and are improving so much! These students have been chosen by their directors to attend a grand tour during the summer of 2019. Basically this trip was a series of art workshops for high school students in Montana.     1 of 68 children are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASDs). Autism is a developmental disorder of variable severity that is characterized by difficulty with social interactions and communication and by repetitive or restricted patterns of thoughts and behavior.   • National School Walk Out for Parkland Victims

    On February 14th there was a mass shooting in Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. 17 students and staff lost their lives in this shooting. To honor the victims, a national school walk out was organized for students across the nation. This walk out was held a month after the Parkland shooting on March 14th. Students and staff across the nation took part in this walk out by leaving class at ten o’clock and protesting for ten minutes.
