    The Big Sandy Pioneer Volleyball team had a busy week on the court with a match against the Chinook Sugarbeeters on Thursday and then two days of tournament play at the Cascade Badger Invitational. The Sugarbeeters came out on top 3-0 in the District 6C-East opener for both teams. Chinook took the opening set 25-13 the second set 25-15 and closed out the Pioneers with a 25-16 third set win.     The Big Sandy Pioneer football team picked up another win on the young season to improve to 2-0.     The Big Sandy Pioneers got exactly what they wanted to start the 2018 Northern C Six-man football season, a big win over the visiting Sunburst Refiners Saturday night 41-25.     The Big Sandy boys and girls basketball teams fell on Thursday to the Box Elder Bears in what would be their only contest of the weekend. The top seeded Box Elder Bears raced past Big Sandy 68-22 after jumping out to a 48-11 half time lead. Big Sandy was paced on the night by junior Jaylyn Cline's eight points.     The second half of the District 9C schedule got underway this past weekend. The Pioneer girls and boys varsity basketball teams faced the Longhorns in Fort Benton on Friday and hosted the Chinook Sugarbeeters on Saturday.     The Big Sandy high school basketball teams began conference play this past weekend with a pair of tough road contests in Fort Benton and Chinook.
