  • Pioneer Wrestler Compete in all Class Meet

    The Pioneers had another successful weekend of wrestling. With a warmup on Thursday night at Fort Benton, the girls’ and boy’s teams made a strong showing at the CMR Holiday Classic. The Holiday Classic is an all-class AA to C across Montana. All weight classes wrestled in 64-man brackets. The Big Sandy girls team placed 15th out of 57 teams overall. Out of Class C girls, Big Sandy girls were 2nd to Poplar by only 2 points. All done by 8th graders and a freshman.     The 2021 wrestling season was still in a questionable status at the start of the year. The dedicated athletes, coaches and parents of the Pioneer Wrestling family elected to forge ahead and keep our program growing. This was done early in the year when there was no guarantee that any other programs were going to compete this year. Our decision put us ahead of all other programs in our district this year.     I want to express the passion that we share. Thank you parents for your support, your help and your dedication. We all make it happen! Each year we grow. Each year we learn.
