The Big Sky State Games swimming competition was held this last weekend in Billings. Six of the Big Sandy Swim Team members competed for their first time at the state games. This was a new experience for the Barracuda swimmers, as the majority of the competitors are year-round competitors. The Pioneer track season started nearly three weeks later than usual, thanks to the winter that wouldn't end. The Pioneer squad has almost doubled in size from last year. The 2017 basketball season is underway and the home of the Pioneers has seen some changes this year. New to our gym this year is a beautiful Pioneers scorers’ table, purchased by the Booster Club with the help of donations given in memory of longtime Pioneers supporter, Allan Pearson. Students from eight Montana counties compete for the chance to represent Montana at the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair.
