Golden Triangle Cropping Seminar in Fort Benton on January 6th Montana State University (MSU) Extension will host its annual cropping seminar series January 6-10, 2025, in the Golden Triangle area. Big Sandy High School's Christmas concert highlighted the hard work and talent of young musicians last Tuesday evening, December 17th. The High School choir, individual musicians, vocalists, and the full band performed Christmas classics, setting the mood for the holiday season. The Pioneer Boys basketball teams opened their season playing against Cascade and Turner this past weekend. They were playing without Sophomore returner Eyon Sherburn and Senior Ryder Galbavy. The first game they played was in Cascade, and it ended with the Pioneers losing by 53 points with a final score of 23-76. Pioneer wrestler participated in two different wrestling meets. The results from CMR Classic in Gt. Falls are Harley LaBuda, wrestling at 125 lbs, took a 3rd place finish and Daijalin Sunchild, wrestling at 190 lbs, took 6th Place . However, where the Pioneer shined was at the Walt & Judy Currie JV Tournament. We had three champions. The Lady Pioneers went 2-0 this past weekend against Cascade and Turner. Against Cascade, they won by 23 points with a score of 60-37, and against Turner, they won by 21 with a score of 40-19. These girls are super aggressive on defense and dig deep to get a defensive stop every time down the floor!
