  • New Year's Resolutions, keeping them. making them, or not at all

    Zoe Merrill|Jan 8, 2020

"I never do that!" Surprisingly that was the response most of the time when I asked if they had a New Year Resolution. One said, "Yes, I'm going to. One that has a low bar and easy to accomplish." Another said, "I used too.", or "No, I have a big enough goal that I'm already working on now!" Another wants to read more, realizing the library downtown as a lot of great books. A couple said, "Read the Bible in a year." One woman only has one thing on her mind. She's getting married this year, and...

Did the holiday season treat you well with many delicious treats that have you feeling like you overindulged? Or, feeling a bit sedentary and wanting to get some activity into your day? • The Needs of the Chouteau County Cancer Support Group

    Jan 8, 2020

Our organization wants to thank everyone for supporting our efforts. It is because of the support throughout the county that we are able to offer assistance to individuals diagnosed with cancer. The most important thing you can do for us is to notify us if you know of someone diagnosed with cancer. We reach out to individuals within our county as soon as we learn they may have cancer. • River Ramblings North

    Beverly Terry|Jan 8, 2020

The holiday seasons are here and going fast. Virgelle Christmas Sale was a blast. For me, the Virgelle Christmas weekend isn’t about what you buy; it’s about saying high. I get to greet all and hand out a little cheer in the snack nook. Friends old and new to meet. This is a great time to laugh, swap a recipe or two, and tell stories of the past. Everyone is excited because of the warm feeling in the air talking, and laughing with care. Virgelle Mercantile’s Christmas sale is my trigger to start my holiday decorating. Driving into my yard...

They lost senior Brock Proulx to injury in that contest before going to Fort Benton to face the District 9C favorite, falling 59-35 to the Longhorns. Proulx took an accidental blow just above his eye that he...

On Saturday, they ran into the buzzsaw known as the Great Falls Tribune No.3-ranked Fort Benton Longhorns, losing 70-11. Seven giveaways by Big Sandy allowed the visiting Bearcats to rush out...
