Big Sandy students put on a wonderful Veteran's Day program Monday afternoon. They sang patriotic songs like "America the beautiful" and "I am A Yankee Doodle Dandy". The High School choir and band played and recited readings and poems. It was a great way to honor our veterans....
The 2018 General Election saw record turnout all across the nation, the state of Montana and Chouteau County as voters swarmed to the polls to vote in the mid-term election. Overall it was tied with 1994 as the most voted mid-term election of all time with 69.93% of Montana voters casting ballots and only trailed the 2016 Presidential Election (74.44%) overall. Larry and Chris Brumwell have been teachers in our schools since the fall of 1978. That's 40 years of teaching. Larry was born and raised on a farm in Power, Montana. Chris was born in Iowa and lived there until she was 12. Annual weed out competing Cheatgrass was recently found in Lewis and Clark County Ventenata (Ventenata dubia (Leers) Coss. Family: Poaceae) is commonly known as wiregrass or North African grass. Ventenata is a non-native winter annual grass that has recently spread from Western Montana into nearby Lewis and Clark County.
