  • Wishing you all a Merry Christmas

    Dec 18, 2024

Christ is Born of Mary Luke 2:1-20 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it was, that while they were...

  • Letter tot the Editor

    Dec 18, 2024

Well, the talking heads on MSNBC and FOX have given me a few chuckles. The former says the Democrats have a mandate to change because they didn’t win the popular vote and the latter says the Republicans have an overwhelming mandate to-do whatever they want. The numbers don’t support either claim. The 2024 elections had almost 245 million eligible voters. Of these Harris got 30.46 %, Trump got 31.47%. There were nearly 4 million voters that didn’t vote for either of these candidates. Nation wide 36% of eligible voters --- didn’t vote! Neither...

While the drive was productive, organizers noted a challenge with appointment no-shows and are encouraging more reliable participation in upcoming drives. The 4-H Sunshine Snippers once again provided...

  • Senior Center News

    Robin Johnson|Dec 18, 2024

The year 2024 has been positive for the senior center, although it has also brought some sadness. We have been able to offer a wider variety of dishes on our menu, along with homemade baked goods, and engaging activities such as bingo nights and pinochle. We've made new friends and mourned the loss of a few; may they rest in peace. We set a goal to acquire a generator for the facility, similar to the one at the hospital, and we are very close to reaching this goal. We hope to raise the...

    Zoe Merrill|Dec 18, 2024

I say it every year the grade school's Christmas Concert is my favorite. This year it was obvious it's a favorite for many. The auditorium was packed! The parking lot was full with cars parked lining the street. It started with the 4th grade Recorders! They played A Merry Minuet. Sometime I'd like to hear a song a know so I could recognize it. It's so much fun! The 5th grade band played three songs. I really wanted to hear the 5th grade band this year, because my granddaughter is playing the...

  • Dear Santa Letters

    Dec 18, 2024

Hi Santa, my name is Asher. I have been a lot good this year! I have helped my dad at the farm with some pipe and I am really good at cleaning up toys. This year for Christmas could you please bring me a teddy bear and a little motorcycle for me and Jaxon to share. I think my mom would love it if you got her a bike so she could ride it and my dad would want another skateboard and maybe a tractor. I will make sure to leave you out carrots, apples and oranges to eat and some hay for the reindeer. Merry Christmas Santa! Love, Asher Kulbeck Dear...
