    Brad Moore, Chairman of the Big Sandy Education Foundation, announced the winners of the Foundation logo contest. He mentioned the Foundation has given Big Sandy education over $100,000 since its formation. While the Foundation worked with First Bank and the Big Sandy Rotary on the Backpack Project last August, they realized they needed a logo.     Dorothy Trepina, 94, departed peacefully on April 4, 2024, in Great Falls surrounded by the love of her family. Dorothy was born on January 27, 1930, in Minnesota. Dorothy was the vibrant second child of Walter and Laura (Geyer) Petrock. Following Walter's passing, the family relocated to Big Sandy, where Dorothy flourished, graduating with the clas s of 1947.     Recently Pamela Morris, granddaughter of noted cowboy photographer Charles Morris, spent an entire day visiting our Big Sandy Cultural Center.In 1903, Morris and his wife pitched their photography tent at theend of Main Street where they sold his photographs of early areacowboys and ranchers.     The Big Sandy Medical Center held its monthly Board Meeting on April 18. The financial report was given, and it boils down to: "We bring in more money than we spend." Also, the draft Form 990 was reviewed. All nonprofits must send in a Form 990. It’s a very "robust report."     Helena, MT: The Montana Nonprofit Association (MNA) has announced that Adam Jespersen will be its new Executive Director starting May 1, 2024. Jespersen is taking over the leadership role from Liz Moore, who is retiring from MNA after nearly 12 years at the helm.
