    The students at F.E. Miley Elementary are very busy preparing for this year’s Extravaganza. It will be held on May 23, 2023. K-3 will be presenting from 12:30 - 1:30, and 4-6 will be presenting from 1:00 - 2:00. The whole community is invited to attend.     Long time FE Miley teacher, Demrece Keller, will be retiring at the end of this school year after 20 years in the Big Sandy classroom and many additional years as a title one employee at the beginning of her career. Several parents have asked Mrs. Keller to stay a few more years so their kids will have her as their teacher, but she explained that the time for retirement has come.   • Big Sandy High school music students perform at District Music Festival

    The Big Sandy Music program distinguished itself at the state music competition last weekend in Helena. The performance happened after Big Sandy took 17 students to the district competition. Seven of those students qualified for the state competition. All seven scored very well, with one student achieving the best score possible in the competition.
