    On Sunday, May 21, 2023, the graduation ceremony was held in the Big Sandy Gym, and it was packed. The Class of 2023 walked in slowly, at first, to the band playing Pom and Circumstance. Superintendent Dan Schrock gave a heartfelt welcome before he introduced the parents of the Salutatorian Lance Rutledge.     Robin Johnson from the Big Sandy Senior Center said, “I’m trying to raise funds without asking for money. So it’s going to be an indoor craft and vendor show. They have 20 tables available for rent on June 24th. That morning the senior center will be offering cinnamon rolls and coffee. They will also have a to-go lunch of hot dogs.     Kenneth Floyd Gay, 69, and his twin brother Kurt were born May 16, 1953, in Olympia, Washington. He met Lois (Chandler) Stamper in 1982 and were married in 1984. They lived in the Lower Puget Sound area until they moved to Big Sandy, Montana in 2005 where they lived until his passing May 1, 2023.     Coach Wendy Taylor said, "I'm super proud of all these kids. They have worked hard this season and saw great results today!" The Pioneer tracksters headed to Great Falls this last Thursday and Friday for Northern C Divisional Track. There were 24 teams that compete in the Northern C Divisional Track Meet.
