  • Pool Fundraising efforts have begun

    Fundraising efforts to build a new community pool have begun and construction plans and cost estimates are being finalized. The committee to raise the estimated $1.75 million dollars is comprised of members of the community and two city council members, whose objective is to fund the project without having to put the costs on the town's taxpayers.     It is an exceptional year for Big Sandy to be sending five girls to Girls State this year. In 2020 Madison Terry and Katherine Bold were selected to go due to COVID-19 Girls State was canceled.     This May 26th, a spring Piano Recital featuring the private students of T. J. Bond, Nona Danreuther, Susie Sant, and Marla Ray was held at the Christ Lutheran Church. There were 21 impressive students: seventeen grade school students and four upperclassmen.
