The Big Sandy Gun Club is over 40 years old. The building was built in the '70s and the club was active way before that according to Steve Stilles. Zoe Merrill|Jul 10, 2019

He must have a ton of rocks, gems, and minerals. He started out by showing me the earrings and pendants he has made which he plans to sell at a few Farmer Markets. He has ordered a few displays. I loved the jewery, because I love rocks. And then he decided to start me from the beginning. It's a passion he has had for...

    Tyler Lane|Jul 10, 2019

The following article was prepared by Kevin Wanner (MSU Extension Entomologist). Alfalfa weevil is the key insect pest of alfalfa, causing variable levels of economic damage across Montana each growing season. Montana weevil populations are a bit lower this year with some pockets of economically damaging numbers. With the cool spring weather alfalfa has been out growing the weevil. • Patching cracks

    Erik Sietsema|Jul 10, 2019

This morning, I read an interesting op-ed written by a woman who is a lawyer and mom. She talks at length about the difficulty she has in that role and the hard truth that she often chooses her work life over her family because it fits her priorities. She laments the fact that she skipped birthdays and phoned in her participation in her kids’ school activities because her work was more important. I disagreed with the author on several points, but found myself identifying with her perspective because the same struggle often plagues folks in m...

  • Pioneer Baseball Season: Small Town Success

    Petra Yirsa|Jul 10, 2019

What defines a small town? Population, number of thriving businesses, or school enrollment? Perhaps a driver passing through would only see the superficial aspect: a town with little more than a main street surrounded by agriculture. However, at the Pioneer Little League games and end of season barbecue, they would have been able to see the small town heart that has truly created this team. Despite personal or business worries, people of this community donated financially or with their own...

A dial-gauge should be tested for accuracy....
