    The Big Sandy Medical Guild held its annual rummage sale last week, raising money to benefit the Medical Center and the surrounding community. The event itself was a rousing success, attracting a larger than normal quantity of donations of rummage for the sale and more traffic than in a typical year.     Donald Alan Jenkins, "Curly", 63, passed away on October 6th, 2024, in Billings, Montana. Don was born in Havre, Montana on June 15, 1961, to Loren and Eldonna (Fox) Jenkins. He grew up on the family farm west of Big Sandy and attended elementary, middle, and high school in Big Sandy, graduating in 1979.     The Lady Pioneer volleyball team was so much fun to watch this past week! It was senior night in Big Sandy and the ladies hosted a very tough Lady Longhorn team. What an intense back and forth match against Fort Benton. The sets were so entertaining and these ladies worked so hard to pull away from the Lady Longhorns.     The Big Sandy volleyball team will be hosting CJI on Tuesday, October 22nd for PINK night. This is the last home game of the season, and is sure to be a great match. Not only will it be super fun to come watch our Lady Pioneers battle it out with the Hawks, but it will also be a very special night, as we support Casten Heppner and his family.   • Pioneers finish strong on Monday

    The Pioneer football team had a rare occurrence this past week, and had to finish the 2nd half of their last game (from chili feed) against Valier. The score to start the 2nd half was 38-6. The Pioneers were originally scheduled to play Heart Butte this past weekend, but Heart Butte canceled their entire season. The Pioneers picked right back up where they left off on Friday night.
