    The 6th Annual Gun and Ammo Show in Big Sandy will take place on January 26th, 27th, and 28th. The Gun Show will be at the Jerry Martin Memorial Hall. Vance and Jean Butler along with their son started the show six years ago because they thought "it was good for the community, because it gives everyone a chance to get a gun and some ammo."     On January 7, 2018 our cousin Edmund Jesse Giebel passed away, and on January 12, 2018, his older brother Ray Eugene Giebel also passed away. They did not want traditional obituaries, so we’re writing a brief rememberance for The Mountaineer record and so their many classmates and friends will know they have left us behind.     Thursday, January 18, Friends of the Library met in the Big Sandy Library’s meeting room. Librarian Darlene Cline called the meeting to order.     The second half of the District 9C schedule got underway this past weekend. The Pioneer girls and boys varsity basketball teams faced the Longhorns in Fort Benton on Friday and hosted the Chinook Sugarbeeters on Saturday. Big Sandy suffered losses earlier in the season against both teams and this past weekend were unable to turn the tables in the rematch.
