Big Sandy Medical Center (BSMC) is initiating a fundraising campaign for 2017. BSMC is in need of an upgrade to the radiology equipment. Several local companies, foundations, and other philanthropic groups have been contacted to assist in raising funds for this capital project. BSMC's current x-ray machine was purchased in 1989. There are getting to be more black bears and grizzly bears around then there were a few years ago. It is known by most everyone that those bears are leaving the Northern Eco System and moving back to their age old home, the Montana prairies. Doris Muriel Dyer, 87, resident of the Hamilton and Missoula area for the last twenty years, passed away from natural causes at the Discovery Care Center on Sunday, November 6. Born August 22, 1929 in Ringling, Montana, Doris was the daughter of Mabel and Deforest Shuyler. She attended elementary school in Ringling, along with her two brothers, Bill and Dee, and her sister Marge, before graduating from high school in White Sulphur Springs.
