Pioneers at home to start second half of volleyball season

The Big Sandy Pioneer volleyball team dropped a four set match with the Box Elder Bears and competed in the Chester mis-season tournament over the weekend.

The Pioneers begin the second half of the season with a non conference clash against the Geraldine/Highwood Rivals at home this Thursday. Saturday the girls will host the Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds.

The girls have played well from time to time and have continued to play hard but finding the win column has eluded the young team. The Pioneers earned a win over the Thunderbirds via forfeit and battled the Bears tough.

The team will look to improve the second half and make some noise at the District 6C-East Tournament.

The District tournament will be played in Rudyard, October 29 and 30.
