Kracklin' Kamut has new flavors next year

It is not often that Big Sandy residents can purchase products locally to use as stocking stuffers that are made right here in Big Sandy.

Bob Quinn's Kracklin' Kamut is one product that is made here and is readily available in many local stores.

Not only that but FFA chapters all over Montana are selling the salty snacks made from the ancient grain called Kamut.

Most all chapters of FFA, including Big Sandy, have many of the Kracklin' Kamut for sale and the proceeds help the Chapter in its fund raising activities.

In Big Sandy the Snack Nuts are also available at The Grocery Store, The Bear Paw Deli, the Lumber Yard, the Meat Market and from the Big Sandy High School chapter of the FFA.

In the area find Kracklin' Kamut at IGA and North 40 in Havre. In Fort Benton find the salty snacks at their Grocery Store and 2 J's in Great Falls sells them in bulk.

Asked how sales are, Kracklin' Kamut manager Caleb Kriser said they are selling very well in all the markets they are in.

After the first of the year Kriser announced that the company has plans to add two flavors. One will be a ranch flavor and the other will be a barbeque flavor. Getting those new flavors out to the public will take most of next year. Management is talking of getting a hot flavor out as well.

When in the marketplace, they will really add to the unique flavor that the first Snack Nuts have.

Best of all, it is a Big Sandy product that has a great taste.
