Don't forget to treat yourself to having a great deal of fun this Saturday night by attending the Rotary Banquet.
It all happens at the High School Gym with doors opening at 6pm on Saturday, March 12.
"Wish Upon a Star" is the theme of the shindig and organizers say you won't have to wish upon a star to be in line for a great prime rib dinner, prizes galore and a time to share the Big Sandy community with others.
Rhonda Works is the president of Rotary in Big Sandy. When asked what projects Rotary is involved with these days, she said, "Basically we are here to support our community with the money that comes from our annual banquet.
Projects we are working on now are T Ball, little kids wrestling, Sheehy Park, the new library, flowers for the town park and helping out with engineering costs to decide whether we should have a new pool or not."
Works went on to say that if there are community improvements to be made, chances are Rotary has something to do with it.
"We have such a wide range of people in our group, someone always knows of something going on or a need that needs to be met," added Works.
Tickets are a hundred dollars for two, the price, by the way that has never changed for 32 years!
For that you get a wonderful prime rib dinner catered by Baumgartner Catering and a chance to win many, many valuable prizes with a grand prize of three thousand dollars.

Jodi Thornton said that the price was the same after 31 years. The First banquet was in 1984 and had a Valentine theme as it was held in February. In those days Thornton says there were no women in the club. Women equal progress!
Don't forget that Wishing on a Star provides you with a chance for many valuable prizes and one of the great prime rib dinners. Bring extra cash and your check book. You don't want to say whoa in a horse race!
See you Saturday at the 32nd annual Rotary Banquet!
