Allie Ruth Gibbs, 60, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls. Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2016, at the Big Sandy Community Church of God. Allie was born on October 13, 1955, in Kansas to James and Pauline Gibbs. She spent her early childhood in Kansas, until the family returned to Eureka, MT, where she attended school. After high school graduation, Allie spent her summer traveling through the western United States. Having enjoyed her travels, she then joined the US Army, and served two tours in both Germany and Iceland. Following her honorable discharge, she settled in Denver, CO, for 20 years, where she was an avid Broncos fan. Allie moved to Big Sandy in 2000, and began working at Walmart, where she made numerous friends.
Allie and nature were the best of friends. From bird watching to fishing, her love for the outdoors was endless. She loved spending time with her friends, and was overjoyed to be in the company of her family.
Allie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pauline Gibbs; her brothers Roy and Charles Hammons; and her sisters Tammy Harris and Bessie Hammons.
She is survived by her five sisters, Levinia Houdeshell, Lola Phillips, Sandy Kuryluk, Bonita Sickafoose, and Donita Larson; her three brothers, Butch Gibbs, and Tom and Warren Hammons; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
