Keeping your pets healthy is an important part of animal ownership. The Big Sandy Saddle Club and Bear Paw Veterinary service are teaming up this spring to provide a day of veterinary service in Big Sandy to help you keep your animals healthy. They are sponsoring an Animal Health Day, Saturday, April 30, 2016
Health exams and vaccinations for dogs, cats, and small animals will be held in the morning at the Big Sandy Saddle Club’s club house. A health exam consists of checking the animal from nose to tail. Teeth are examined, eyes and ears checked, and the heart and lungs listened to. Vaccinations include the distemper combination and rabies. Proof of the rabies shot is necessary to obtain a city license. Licensing your dog is an important and cost effective way to keep your dog safe. If your animal gets loose and is picked up, if it has a license, it can quickly be returned to you. If the animal does not have a license, it will be taken to Fort Benton and impounded there.
A de-worming program will also be available.
Large animals will be scheduled in the afternoon. Vaccinations, deworming, dental and chiropractic work (tentative) may be scheduled through Bear Paw Vet.
