The Montana Department of Agriculture will host the first ever Grown in Montana Store at the Montana State Fair in Great Falls, July 29th through August 6th. The Grown in Montana Store will showcase value-added agriculture products that are grown in Montana and processed by Montana businesses. Nearly 20 Montana companies from all corners of the state will have products available for purchase, ranging from jams to jerkies and cookies to caviar.
Following is a partial list of some of the great Montana companies that will have products for sale at the Grown in Montana Store:
• Smoot Honey – Power, Mont. Honey products made in fields of alfalfa and yellow sweet clover.
• Kracklin’ Kamut – Big Sandy, Mont. High protein snack made with Kamut (Ancient Grain.)
• Holt Chew – Whitehall, Mont. Tobacco-less chew made with alfalfa to aid in kicking tobacco habits.
• Gluten Free Prairie – Manhattan, Mont. Gluten free oat products including cookies, brownie mixes and flour.
• The Story Mill – Laurel, Mont. Cold-Pressed Safflower cooking oil, carrier oil and lip salve.
• Farver Farms – Scobey, Mont. Soup, salad and brownie mixes using lentils, wheat and barley grown right on the farm.
• Becky’s Berries – Absarokee, Mont. Jellies, jams and glazes all made with fresh Montana fruit.
• Pioneer Meats – Big Timber, Mont. Jerky and other meat products from cattle born and raised in Montana.
