Wednesday, June 14 FLAG DAY Breakfast for lunch which includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon and fruit for the Lunch of the Week!
Thursday, June 15 chicken taco salad and dessert.
Friday, June 16 smorgasbord, bread and dessert.
Monday, June 19 spaghetti, bread sticks, vegetables, green salad and dessert.
Tuesday, June 20 roast pork and garlic sauce, rice, bread and dessert.
This recipe for Ronald Reagan’s favorite Macaroni and Cheese came from an old Cowboy Cookbook.
½ pound macaroni
1 tablespoon butter
1 egg beaten
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
3 cups grated sharp cheese
1 cup milk
Boil macaroni in water until tender and drain thoroughly. Stir in butter and egg. Mix mustard and salt with 1 tablespoon hot water and add to milk. Add cheese leaving enough to sprinkle on top. Pour into buttered casserole, add milk, sprinkle with cheese and bake at 350 for about 45 minutes or until custard is set and top is crusty.
