Kracklin'Kamut Open House; August 4

On August 4 starting at 4pm there will be an open house at the new Quinn Kracklin' Kamut headquarters at 275 Montana Avenue West in Big Sandy. There will be snacks and refreshments served and tours of the facility will be given until 6pm. Quinn says he doesn't want to keep people long as it is in the middle of harvest time but there are many dignitaries and people who have supported Kracklin' Kamut over the years that Quinn and his team want to honor.

Quinn said that everyone is welcome to come and see what improvements are being made in the Kracklin' Kamut brand.

One thing for sure is that the Quinn team has been working on more and different tastes for the Kracklin' Kamut.

Some of those tastes will be at the August 4 event to be sampled. The Quinn team asks that people vote on which is their favorite new taste. That is the way that a new taste treat will be incorporated in the Kracklin' Kamut lineup. Those new tastes include barbeque, peppercorn ranch, sweet and salty, dill and a cinnamon and sugar mixture known as fall festival along with a hot pepper sauce.

Bob Quinn announced last week that the snack portion of his Kamut business has moved from the old bakery building to 275 Montana Avenue West.

"That move will give us lots of room for doing things with Kracklin' Kamut that we cannot do now," said Quinn. "I am looking forward to getting organized in our new building and making some needed changes in our product lines."

The log bakery building on Main Street where Kracklin Kamut has been made since its inception will become the Big Sandy headquarters for Kamut. The Kamut office that is in the Mint will be moving to the log building.

August 4, open house for Big Sandy Organics, don't you miss it!
