Wednesday, August 30 cheeseburger pie, vegetable tray, bread and dessert.
Thursday, August 31 liver and onions with mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, bread and dessert.
Friday, September 1 BLT wraps and dessert.
Monday, September 4 closed for a very happy Labor Day.
Tuesday, September 12 pork chops, potatoes, veggies, salad, dessert and bread for the Lunch of the week!
This week the Senior Citizens Cooks chose Mom’s banana nut cake.
You will need
2 1/3 cups flour
1 2/3 cup sugar
1 ¼ cups banana mashed
2/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup buttermilk
3 eggs
1 ¼ teaspoon baking powder
1 ½ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup milk
Mix everything together and bake in a 9 by 13 baking tin for 45 to 50 minutes
For frosting mix together 3 cups powdered sugar, 1/3 cup margarine, 2 tablespoons milk and 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla. You can add chocolate chips as well.
