Once again, the Chouteau County Cancer Support Group will be sponsoring Pack the Place Pink during the basketball games on January 19th against Fort Benton.
They felt that if this was their only fund-raiser for Chouteau County this year it would be best held during a game with both towns from Chouteau County.
It is a night to remember our loved ones and neighbors who have battled cancer and lost. It is a night to support those who are still struggling with the disease, and for those who have battled and won!
It’s hard to believe the cancer statistics release this summer by Montana Department of Health and Human services.
Cancer is the number one cause of death among Montanans each year. Each year 5,652 Montanans are diagnosed with cancer. One in two men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
One in three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. With those statistics, everyone in Big Sandy has been affected by cancer. Imagine the gym full of pink.
There will be an opportunity to give a donation to Chouteau County Cancer Support group or to purchase a shirt or two.
The money given to the support group is all kept in Chouteau County. When they receive word that an individual is fighting the battle with cancer they give them a homemade blanket and $250.
Come to the game and support both the basketballs teams and the Chouteau County Cancer Support Group.
