Summertime is the time for Swim Lessons

As you approach the pool you can hear lots of children's laughter, finding it surprising that only eight children are swimming. Thirty-two children took lessons this summer at the Big Sandy Swimming pool, but for each session, there were eight children and four teachers. Connie Reichelt, Jaylyn Cline, Audrey Sipler, and Lainey Gregory were the swimming teachers this summer making it two students per teacher this season.

I watched them playing and diving to the bottom of the pool to pick up rings. Not one of them was afraid of the water. They loved the challenge of finding the rings underwater and so proud of themselves when gave their handful of rings to their teacher.

A parent who was watching the lessons told me they were a great group of teachers. "They were extremely attentive to their students. They laughed with the children making the lessons so much fun. They start their lessons with a pool full of patience. And they are so kind. They push the kids, but in a good way. And they get good results."

It isn't too late to get lessons for your children. You can buy one hour a day of private lessons for one week, at the cost of $25. Connie Reichelt cannot give private lesson, but all three of the high school girls can be personally contacted and private arrangements made if you would like personal lessons.
