Ronald Baumann opened Complete Small Engine Repairs. "I work on everything; ATV, UTV, Go-carts, motorcycles, and compact tractors." His business card says he works on all makes and brands of outdoor power equipment. Anything to do with outdoor power equipment. He is certified in 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines, but his specialty is 2-cycle engines. He has over 41 years of experience. Bob Quinn who was in his shop said, "so it's not his first rodeo."
He's been keeping busy. Current business hours are M-F 8:00-4:30 Saturdays 8 to noon. He says he'll have longer hours as he increases the business. Call him at 390-3637and he'll meet you. He even said he'd answer the phone after hours when his shop isn't open. He wants to help you get your small engine working.
This is his seconded shop, although he worked for a number of companies including Massive Fergusson and International Harvester.
"It's going to be difficult to have parts on hand for everything. Right now, it takes a week to get the parts, because next day delivery is so expensive." So, it will be difficult to fix it in overnight if he needs to get a part. "I have access to every brand. As long as the part is still available I can get it."
There is probably nothing he can't fix and doesn't believe we should just dump them the garbage. "I don't believe in a throw-away society." In fact, if you have anything that can't be fixed he'd like you to drop it off at his shop, not throw it away. He would like to part it out so he can take the parts out of them to help save money for his customers.
He and his wife like Big Sandy. He's from a small town and likes returning to a small town. Besides working on small engines likes fishing, and hunting. Before he moved to Big Sandy he was involved with Rotary and the Masons.
