Cowboy Christmas Stroll Updates! Griswold Party, Craft Bazaar and Auction Items

It’s that time of year again to get in the spirit of Christmas! The community of Big Sandy and the Big Sandy CSI (Community Service and Improvement) group is excited to start making Big Sandy look like a Christmas village, dripping in Christmas lights and decorations. Big Sandy CSI has been doing the Griswold part for about 5 years. They encourage Big Sandy Main street businesses to put up lights and decorate their businesses; we also want people to do it at their homes around town. “We would like to see everyone get into the spirit and have fun with It.,” said CSI Christmas Stroll Chair, Leslie Gregory. If anyone who like to help out with this please come and join in. The Griswold Party is November 16th and we start at 1:00 p.m.

Also, we are excited to talk about the Annual Christmas Craft Bazaar. It is always a crowd pleaser. There is always something for everyone. It’s a good place to do some Christmas shopping or find something special for yourself, or maybe find something different for that someone who is hard to shop for.

The space at the Jerry Martin Memorial Hall is full but we still have room at the Big Sandy Museum. Having crafters/vendors at the museum was started last year do to the demand from more crafters for space. We will do that again this year with a prize when you visit the museum. You can register for a prize of $50 cash. The only way you can register for this is to visit the museum and the crafters there.

If you are interested in having a table at the bazaar you should contact Danielle Weaver at the Big Sandy Pharmacy or Tina Cook.

The Auction items are now available at Wells Fargo Bank. This year we want you to decorate lasso ropes. All you crafters out there hurry and go pick yours up soon there are only 10 available. Use your imagination and show us your Christmas spirit. They will need to be finished and dropped off at the bank by November 28th.

Next week we will feature the Breakfast with Santa at the Mint.
