Join the Emperor, his friends and subjects, and the busy Silkworms this Friday, April 19th, when the Missoula Children’s Theatre and more than 50 local students present an original musical adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen classic, THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES.
Playing the title character of the Emperor is local student Everett Works. Other featured performers include Heather Sherburn as ManyPenny, Faith Cator as Royal Scholar Roxy, and Harley LaBuda as Royal Scholar Red. The King will be Josh Hagen and the Queens will be Brianna Terry, Tori Dixon and Ella Idelman. The Money Council will be Keira Oats, Colter Han, Brooke Cope, and Ridge Cator. . Gem is Samantha Bjornestad while the Royal Jewelers are London Keane, Marquell Houle and Liana Janssen. Boots is Astrid Ketchum and the Royal Cobblers are Katelyn Big Bow, Lauri Silvan and Henry Merrill. The Royal Hatters Adysun Gerholdt, Levon Meyers and Elaina Weaver will be lead by Jayton Ophus as Lid. The Royal Tailors will be played by Daijilin Sunchlid and Audrey Idleman and Quinn Rodewald will be Stitch. And finally, the Royal Silkworms will be played by Kacey Weaver, Davey Overbay, Liam Simpson, Kennedy Keane, Cassia Butler, Mason Henry, Piper Gravelle, Hardy Baumgarn, Tristan Cox, Cameron Janssen, Olivia Sura, James Calvao and Autumn Witmer. Logan Witmer will be serving Assistant Director throughout the week.
THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES will be presented on Friday, April 19th, at 2 and 6 at the High School Auditorium. A Free will donation with proceeds going to Big Sandy Rotary will be collected at the door.
