Library summer activities are wonderful!

This summer the Jeff Memorial Big Sandy Library, is full of summer reading programs for kids and adults of all ages! The programs started on June 11th and will end August 2nd, but everyone is still encouraged to join!

Every Wednesday at 10:30 am the library holds Pre-K storytime and crafts. On Thursdays at 1:00 pm storytime is held for kindergarten through sixth grade. Children are encouraged to attend weekly but it's not mandatory. The library wants to encourage kids to read during the summer and have fun doing it!

There is also adult summer reading. This activity is available anytime during the week at the library. There are contest challenges that change each week and you can receive prizes that were donated to the library from local businesses.

The library also wants teenagers to read during the summer too. Teenagers are encouraged to come into the library at any time! On July 18th, at 4:00 pm, a need gun war will be held for teenagers to attend!

The library also has a great summer food program. On Wednesdays volunteers get together to make and pack sandwiches, fruit, a snack, and water for the program. The food program happens on July 11th, 18th, 25th, and August 1st.

The Library hours include: Tuesdays 12-6, Wednesdays 10-4, Thursdays 12-6, and Fridays 10-2. Everyone is welcome to stop by the library for their free programs or just to check out a good book!
