Auditions are being held for Paul Boedel's play "A Seussified Christmas Carol. The auditions is being held October first and third at the Big Sandy High school auditorium, 4 o'clock in the evening to five o'clock both days. "A Suessified Christmas Carol" is a whimsical reinvention of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". It takes a turn from the original, using whacky methods to make this a wonderful family play. This would have been Dr. Seuss's way of introducing the play if he had his way with it. The suessification of many (already wonderful) plays has turned them into fun time to spend with your family.
I can't wait to see how Paul Boedel has changed this classic into a fun family play. This is a great way to connect with the community. As a small town, we need to attend these social gatherings to bring us all closer together. Those who may be going through a tough time are going to need our support, and isn't it our obligation to help them? These events are incredibly important to our community as it is a great way to lift the spirits of others.
The classic literary story of "A Christmas Carol" takes place on a cold Christmas Eve in London, seven years after the death of Ebenezer Scrooge's business partner, Jacob Marley. Scrooge, an ageing man, who spends most of his time greedily counting his money, is visited on Christmas Eve by the three ghosts of Christmas. He is taught invaluable lessons about life, changing his forever. It is a great story filled with adventure and imagination. It tells about Christmas Spirit and how we can all help those in need in the simplest ways.
It's going to be an extraordinary show! I sure can't wait to attend the production and I hope to see you all there!
