During this time of trial, I see a lot of caring people, reaching out to help, to bless those who are in need. But I also hear and read a lot of negativity. It is during times like this I am reminded of my favorite verses. Philippians, starting with verse "4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you"
We are to be about the training of our minds to think differently, to feel differently and to that end I'm placing in the Mountaineer photos of flowers! Why? Because I hope you can search for and find beauty and peace. When those negative thoughts come to dominate your mind, move it to a different place. Search for and find those things which are true in God's eyes, not ours. Concentrate on what is lovely. Find excellence! And give praise.....to anyone or everyone, or to the Creator. It will lift you up and it will lift them up as well.
