Lainey Gregory and Seanna Demontiney had planned to go to Hawaii to play volleyball last summer, but with Covid-19, the opportunity was canceled until this summer. So both Lainey and Senna traveled to Honolulu, Hawaii July 6th and stayed there for a week. They played in the Nokaoi Volleyball Tournament.
Seanna said, "Hawaii was absolutely amazing! It was something I have never experienced before. It felt so great to finally be able to travel and see more of the world."
Lainey said, "It was well worth the wait. It just made me excited, and it was the one thing I was looking forward to the most this summer. I feel like it was a once in a lifetime experience and is something I won't forget."
She continued saying, "It was fun to play with other players. It was fun to just play with each other and actually play volleyball one last time. We got just to have some fun!"
Seanna said it was good to play with some old friends and then make some new ones.
"My favorite memory was sitting on the beach almost every day and the luau!! The food at the luau was delicious! We had fresh fish, pulled pork, rice, and dessert! We also go to go the big flea market which was cool to see all tables full of miscellaneous items," Lainey said.
Seanna said, "My favorite memory was probably the first day there. We got to see so many different aspects of the island, and we got to go to this amazing flea market. I got to catch up with my friends and meet so many new people."
I asked if they tried anything new to eat and what was their favorite. They both loved the pineapple. Lainey said, "The pineapple in Hawaii was my favorite thing to eat while I was there!! It is so sweet and fresh. There is a dole whip that is pineapple flavored ice cream that is so good!
Seanna basically said the same thing, " I didn't try any new food, but the pineapple there was so outstandingly good! "
