Big Sandy defeated Cascade in their game Tuesday September 21 and according to Coach Brittany McKenney the Cascade game was an exciting win for the Varsity Lady Pioneers. "The first set was especially close and I was happy to see us finish. We served the ball well and played scrappy on defense throughout the entire match. McKenney is pleased with her team because "We are continuing to improve offensively and are beginning to build the team chemistry to be successful."

Saturday September 25th the Big Sandy Lady Pioneers lost against Roy-Winifred in 3 sets. Concerning this last game Coach McKenney said that "We lost in three, but I thought we played well in the first set. We started off strong, but unfortunately, we just couldn't finish." As always, Coach McKenney always is able to see the best side or her team and their progress. "We are continuing to improve with each match. It's nice to see that we aren't playing scared. We have a big week ahead of us." The Pioneers plays have a match with Chinook at home Tuesday September 28, so let's get out and give this scrappy team our support. They also play Centerville on Friday October 1st and they play in the North Star Tournament all day Saturday October 2nd.
