Big Sandy Medical Services Foundation was established to foster better healthcare in the Big Sandy community. One way of doing this is to encourage and assist young people who wish to pursue training in the healthcare field by offering scholarships to Big Sandy High School graduates.
Scholarship amounts for the 2022-2023 college year will be a minimum of $300.00 each, one to a graduating senior, one to a college student already enrolled in a college and a third to either of these groups, depending on applications received. All applicants must be pursuing a medical career of some kind. The Board reserves the right to award all or none, depending on applications received. Decisions of the Board are final.
Special consideration is given to students and/or BSMC employees pursuing a medical career which could benefit Big Sandy Medical Center such as nurses, medical assistants, radiology or laboratory techs, or physical therapists, to name a few.
Applications are available through and may be returned to Diana Keane, BSHS Guidance Counselor; Leah Griffith, BSMC Administrator; or Nora Grubb, BSMSF Secretary, 406-378-2163. Application must be received by March 31, 2022.
