Tilleman Equipment debutes the FENDT at the MAGIE

Press release- Duluth GA: Tilleman Equipment in Havre MT is the newest dealer to be awarded the Fendt tractor line. (the “d” is silent; rhymes with tent) Fendts have long been a staple on grain and livestock farms in Europe. Only 200 AGCO dealers have demonstrated the ability and taken on the investment in parts, training and tooling to represent this high quality tractor line.

Fendt, owned by AGCO, will be making its North Central Montana debut at the MAGIE this January in Great Falls.

AGCO purchased the German manufacturer in 1996 and began selling Fendt tractors in the U.S. in 1998. They were designed with grain crops and ranchers in mind. Recently, Fendt has added a self propelled sprayer (based on the award winning Challenger RoGator platform) and the Ideal combine to its line up.

Fendt is the market share leader for tractor sales in Europe and winner of multiple tractor of the year awards and Agricultural engineering awards. The Fendt 700 and the Fendt 1100 Vario MT tracked tractor were introduced to American farmers during a virtual show in late summer 2020. The Fendt 700 Vario series features the new FendtONE operating philosophy and, suitable for the North American market. Fendt won 6 prestigious AE50 awards in 2020.

There are many features that sets Fendt apart from its competitors. First, there’s the suspension. There are independent suspension systems in the front axle, the cab and the seat, which makes for a smooth ride.

Second, Fendt tractors have continuously variable transmission, which eliminates shifting gears. Instead, the operator adjusts speed by using a joystick: Push forward to increase speed; pull back to reduce it. The transmission automatically transfers power between axles to minimize slip.

Then there is FendtiD, a low-engine speed concept that manages engine RPMs according to task.

The tractor software actually tailors that engine speed to what’s needed at that time.

These features combine to maximize fuel efficiency and extend the life of the tractor’s components.

The most obvious difference is Fendt Tractors come with 3 years of full warranty and maintenance, which is best in class for the industry.

The tractors are built to order at the company’s manufacturing facility in Marktoberdorf, in south Germany and Jackson Minnesota in the United States.
