Rotary Club spuces up baseball fields for spring

The Big Sandy Rotary Club has been busy getting ready for the spring and summer season. On May 2, the club met at the baseball fields adjacent to F.E. Miley school and cleaned up tumble weeds and garbage so the fields will be ready for the baseball season as well as anyone who wishes to begin folfing. The town's 9 hole folf course is a par three course and is suitable for any one who enjoys the game of folf. On May 9 the club went to Sheehy Park to ready it for the summer camping season. This year the Rotary Club will be installing three new fire rings at the park in hopes of an active camping season.

The Big Sandy Rotary Club stays active throughout the year with many projects. Our next projects will be hanging patriotic banners on Main Street for Big Sandy's Memorial Day festivities, the club has taken the original Big Sandy Cemetery journal to Missoula for rebinding and has had paper and electronic copies of the journal to date created as well. This year the Rotary Club has awarded a scholarship in honor of Bud Gullickson to a member of the senior class at the recent awards ceremony.

The Rotary Club continues to meet on Monday's at 6 at the Mint while the Senior Center is closed. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our 2022 annual banquet fundraiser. Your generosity makes the Big Sandy Rotary Club a vital part of Big Sandy.
