Vandalism in two Counties

A weekly paper isn't the first place you read to get recent news. It was on Dustin Gasvoda's Facebook page first, and then KRTV covered the story, but it's too important for the community not to at least let everyone know what happened to them. There was further damage done to the Blaine County road equipment as well.

I can not get information from the two counties' Sheriff's Departments either, as it is "still under investigation ."And that is all they will tell you, so the reports on Facebook and KRTV are the closet information. As it progresses, the Mountaineer will continue to follow the story.

According to Blaine County Sheriff's Department, the damage done will most likely be close to $300,000. There is an award of up to $20,000 for any information. Please call the Chouteau County Sheriff's Department with any information that you know or discover in the future.

The Gasvoda's keep finding damages. KRTV reported, "Complete damage to his entire setup of spraying equipment, a semi-truck with water vessels, chemical truck, chemical shuttles, and pumps; all destroyed."

Also reported by KRTV is there is an account opening on Monday, August 22, at the Independence Bank in Havre. The name of the account will be "Gasvoda Equipment Recovery Fund." Call Independence Bank at 406-265-1242
