T'was the night before Christmas Break

6th Grade

“Twas the day before break, when all through the halls,

All the students were anxiously climbing the walls;

The lockers were open- kids combing their hair,

In hopes that some snowflakes would soon fill the air;

Kids were excited to sleep late in their beds,

While visions of carefree days danced in their heads:

With people in the office and I in my class,

We just settled down and let our brains rest at last,

When outside the room there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter.

When I went out in the hall I could not believe my eyes.

It was Santa Clause, eating McDonald’s fries.

When Santa saw me he ran.

Then out of nowhere he got hit in the head with a can.

Then he fell down, yelping in pain.

I asked what happened and he said “ I crashed my sleigh into a doorway in Spain and I don’t know how I ended up here in Montana.

“Since you’re the first one I see you’re gonna help me save Christmas. “ But first I gotta pee.”

After that we were off to Spain.

Santa has to steal someone’s car so he can drive to Spain.

So he grabs a giant Candy Cane,

breaks this guy’s window, throws him out of the car,

and curb stomps his head into concrete.

The man who was so injured looked like whip cream.

Then I woke up, it was all just a dream.

I went out to the hallway to see a guy in red,

he was sitting on a chair eating banana bread.

I went to him see what he was at,

then I noticed he was quite fat.

He had a white beard with tufts of gray.

It looked like he was in great dismay.

He said to me he was Santa,

But to me it didn’t look like it.

He looked like a guy who sits on the couch and drinks lots of Fanta.

He said he couldn’t find his reindeer,

He asked if I could find them.

But reindeer are my fear

So I ran away to find my dad.

When we found the reindeer they went mad.

It was such a sight

They were a fright.

When we calmed them down.

We told him what went around.

He thanked us and off he went with a hohoho

I looked out the window and saw a red sleigh,

Then I saw Santa standing in the doorway.

He told us his reindeer had escaped

And I knew that Santa wasn’t in shape to find the reindeer.

So we set off saying “Dasher!! Dancer!! Prancer!! Vixen!!”

“Comet!! Cupid!! Donner!! Blitzen!!”

We suddenly gave up knowing they won’t listen.

But then we heard a noise

And it gave us so much joy.

We were happy to see the reindeer,

Now Santa has a sleigh full of eight deer.

I was sitting on the couch eating Graham Crackers.

Mr.Taylor said to quit being a slacker.

I walked outside and it was so bright.

It was hard for me to see the light.

I’m glad I am going on vacation.

It is for a celebration.

I’m glad I get to leave school.

I don’t want to look like a fool.

We get to go to an amusement park.

My dogs will bark.

I went to see if it came from playground,

Then toward me one of Santa’s reindeers bound.

Then behind him I hear Santa voice say slow down, slow down,

Comet you almost knocked her over you silly clown,

Wait so your Santa Clause I say in disbelief,

I am, he says, But I thought you were supposed to be as silent as a leaf.

I am, but I crashed my new sleigh, just today

Where? I say. Here I’ll show you it’s this way.

When we get there I say, It’s pretty banged up alright,

Then Santa says, And I have to get going because time is tight.

Why? Christmas isn’t for another 7 days.

Not here but it is to other countries and I have to get them presents right way

Ok I’ll help you, but how can we get there?

Oh we can ride you reindeer, by the way they are very beautiful and fair.

Thanks but let’s go, let’s go there is no time to lose.

Then I hop on Comet who makes a sound that sounds like a cow’s moos.

So off we went delivering presents by night.

But the fight through the chimneys were rather tight.

When we were done and went back to the USA it was outside was still light

And I had to go back to class.

So then I scattered!

But then I saw Santa’s sleigh

But then realized that christmas eve is the next day

So then I said get out or you will pay

How much he said

Then I said a bonk in the head

Then he said I won’t pay that

Then I said you’re a brat!

Then he said your fat

I ran downstairs, my footsteps a patter,

To see that there had been a big, red ladder.

I saw someone hiding wrapped boxes in all the small spaces.

When a big red man had tripped over his laces.

It was a man I didn’t recognize, I thought who was this man?

Until he got up, and then I noticed that he had been hit with a pan.

It was Santa Claus, why was he here?

I knew I believed in him, from the tip of my ear.

My parents came down, they saw me in the room.

And then Santa left, with a boom!

My parents told me everything, about how we were leaving

Going on a trip to Florida, It was deceiving

But then they said they asked him to come

And Bring the gifts early, I had started to feel numb

It all added up, why he was here early

So we can make things a bit more pearly.

There was a big red coat on my chari and some of ;

It was on my desk.

It was Santa’s and he left it just for me.

But then I saw him and he wants his coat back;

Becasce he lots it when he was fling through;

The air and the reindeer wont listen to him if he;

Don’t have it back.

And he said he couldn’t get his reindeer to stop chewing

Then he said that he his sleigh broke down

And he had a big frown

Then i said to bad for you get up and deal with it

He said no presents for you

You mean no presents for any who

Then Santa said I’m done.

I looked out the door and saw Santa in distress,

and Mrs.Clause in her long dress.

My sleigh has cracked the reindeer are loose

And I have presents that need delivering like the tooth fairy

I need this job. I must hurry to get it all done and Mrs.Claus has gone airy.

She bonked her head on the crash down so gather the glue we have reindeer to find someone to fix the sleigh and we need a doctor

So we gathered what he asked and got the school nurse

And we even found the reindeer!
