The Tea at BSMC

You've probably seen the clinic building sitting just across the street from the medical center. This building will have a large waiting room, multiple patient rooms, and offices too. You will hopefully be able to take a look for yourself by this spring. Until then the staff of BSMC will continue to iron out details and make necessary arrangements for the upcoming move. There has been considerable discussion about which offices will move to the new building and which will stay in the current facility, but the ladies working in the clinic will certainly call the new building their home.

At the entrance you will meet the clinic receptionist, Abbey Sandlin. Abbey has been working in the clinic for a few months now, but she is not new to the area. She grew up here, then spent some time over in the flathead before moving back to town last fall. She worked as an MA (Medical Assistant) and phlebotomist as well as a lab assistant in the last few years and brings her skill set, as well as her smiling personality, to the clinic. She says, "I love working in healthcare, it's a great way to connect with others while also making a difference." If she is not at work making a difference, she is spending time with her family, making a difference in their lives too.

Working with Abbey in the clinic are CMAs Suzy LaBuda and Morgan Simpson. Suzy is the Clinic Manager and has been working at BSMC for the last four years. She too is a local girl, having grown up in Big Sandy, living and working for a Chiropractor in Great Falls for about 8 years, then moving home in 2019. When she's not here at work, you will find her making memories with her young family, out shooting her bow, or traveling and listening to her favorite music. Suzy says after four years she still comes "to work for my patients, my providers and the BSMC staff. Together we have a great team and strive for the best for our patients and residents."

Morgan has also been at BSMC for four years. She started as a CNA (certified nurse assistant) before obtaining her CMA and working in the clinic. She is another Big Sandy native who loves coaching the volleyball team, traveling anywhere with warmer weather and being a mother to her four kiddos. Before working at BSMC, she has spent time as a paraprofessional, a veterinary assistant, working at The Grocery Store, and enjoying her time as a Stay At Home Mom. Morgan says she comes to work "mostly to stress out Krystyl Kulbeck and my other co-workers, and to love on all the grandmas and grandpas. There is always something new going on or a new skill to learn at the job, and I love it."

Together with Krystyl Kulbeck, PA and our other providers, these three girls are vital to the clinic. Their enthusiasm for their job is palpable, and their kindness greets you at the door. Be sure to give Abbey a call at 406.378.2189 and get scheduled for your next annual, well-child check, sports physical, or other concern. The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
