Kindergarten teacher Samantha Weaver wrote, "The holiday time of year is upon us. Our elementary school is again partnering with our local Food Bank to put together Christmas gift boxes. Last year, our elementary school put together 11 Christmas dinner boxes. The boxes consisted of the goodies needed for a holiday dinner. This year our Food Bank is in need of paper products and baby food items for their recipients. We are asking that each grade bring a specific item. Our Christmas gift boxes will be picked up by the Big Sandy Food Bank on December 19th. Please, bring items anytime starting November 27th through December 19th. Thank you for your continued support and helping our students give back to their community.
If your child is in the following grade, please bring these items. Kindergarten- 2 packages of toilet paper, 1st Grade- 2 packages of napkins, 2nd Grade- 2 packages of the heavy duty dinner paper plates,3rd Grade- 2 packages of paper towels, 4th Grade- 2 boxes of baby cereal, 5th Grade -4 jars of baby food, 6th Grade- 4 jars of baby food."
The flyer around town from "First Bank of Montana 12 Days of Christmas Community Food Drive is taking donations of non-perishable food items for the local food pantry this season. Each business day, we'll be asking for a different item. All donations will be matched by First Bank of Montana this holiday. Items may be dropped off during regular business hours between November 39th and December 15th. Drop off at: First Bank of Montana, Big Sandy 15 Johannes Ave/406-378-2520. A donation box is located in the branch lobby."
