Pamela Beth Anderson, age 79, passed away on February 5, 2024. After suffering a stroke in 2021 Ms. Anderson resided in the Sweet Bye and Bye assisted living facility in Salem, Oregon. She was born on September 15, 1944 at Great Falls, Montana and as a child she and her invalid mother lived at her grandparent's home in Glasgow, Montana and then on the farm owned by her Uncle and Aunt, Wayne and Jean Dixon, near Big Sandy, Montana. Ms. Anderson's mother Mary Edith (Cumming) Anderson passed away in 1984 and her father, Robert Anthony Anderson died in 2012.
Ms. Anderson graduated from Prairie High School, a boarding school in Alberta Canada in 1961 and then attened Prairie Bible institute In the Fall of 1964, she entered nursing training at The Galt School of Nursing in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1967. Ms. Anderson began her 44-year nursing career at the Deaconess Hospital in Great Falls, Montana and concluded it at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, Washington. While at Overlake Hospital she was a specialist in the Cardiac Intensive Care and was credited with saving many lives.
After Ms. Anderson retired 2011 she resided in her condominium in Bothell, Washington until 2013 when she purchased a home in Salem, Oregon. She enjoyed retirement there un\l she became ill in 2021.
Ms. Anderson is remembered for her dedication to service both in her work as a nurse and in her relationship with others. She had a sterling reputation as a caretaker for parents, love for her family and support for her friends. Ms.
Anderson provided care for her invalid mother and kept in close touch with her father through the years. addition to her wonderful sense of humor, she was also known for the beloved cats that flourished in her home.
