Sunshine Snippers Complete Phase 1 Audio Visual project

The Sunshine Snippers 4-H Club has completed phase 1 of their community Audio – Visual project.

The club purchased a portable screen, projector, speakers, and microphone. Along with those items, a rolling, locking cart was purchased for the projector for placement when in use and to be locked up when not. Members of the Big Sandy FFA Alumni & Supporters chapter helped put together the items that needed assembly.

The items are at the Jerry Martin Memorial Hall for the community to have access to technology for use during weddings, memorials, meetings, banquets, etc. The Sunshine Snippers will utilize the equipment for trainings, meetings, demonstrations, and state events that are interactive.

The club began this project three years ago by obtaining grants from various sources to assist with purchasing these items. The grants include the Montana Department of Agriculture Rural Community grant, Triangle Telephone technology grant and Hill County Electric youth grant, along with money donated by the Sunshine Snippers 4-H Club.

The second phase of the project will be to purchase another screen, additional options for securing equipment, a microphone stand, and a speaker/microphone for 2-way communications for meetings.

Thank you to those who have supported this project, and continue to do so for future equipment. Mr. Taylor, Big Sandy FFA Advisor, noted, "It was great to have the equipment available for this year's banquet. To have it at the hall and ready to use, saved us a lot of time hauling equipment back and forth. It was perfect for the banquet and we appreciate being able to use it!"

The audio-visual equipment is for use to the Big Sandy community and the Sunshine Snippers hope that everyone will be diligent in caring for it, using it with care, and enjoying this equipment for many, many years. If anyone sees a need for additional AV equipment, please reach out to a leader or member.
