The Big Sandy swim team went to an outdoor pool in Chouteau last weekend. There was a mix of sun and clouds, as well as some wind. The high temperature was only 62 degrees. Nine teams, including Big Sandy, participated in this swim meet. They competed against athletes all across the state. The teams that competed were Bitterroot, Chester, Fort Benton, Choteau, Columbia Falls, Conrad, Cut Bank, and Shelby.
Travis Baumann, head coach, responded, “All the kids swam great this weekend! Lila Butler (in the 8-year-old age group) and Henry Merrill (in the 12-year-old age group) got high points for their group! This was Lia’s very first high point. We placed 4th overall. It was a great meet for the Barracudas! Lots of PRs. I’m very proud of the work these kids have put in.
