What a great weekend of action-packed volleyball! The Lady Pioneers first went to Fort Benton to take on the Lady Longhorns, where the first two sets were BATTLES! They won all 3 sets with 28-26, 26-24, and 25-14 scores. They had back-and-forth volleys the entire time, with lots of action! The first set’s biggest lead was 4 points by the Lady Pioneers, but that didn’t last long as both teams had great comeback moments. The Lady Pioneers won the first set by 2 with a score of 28-26. The 2nd set was just as entertaining and exciting! The Lady Pioneers were down for most of the set until they tied it up at 19-19. Then, more back-and-forth play with hard hits and great saves, the Lady Pioneers won 26-24. The third set was all Lady Pioneers, who pulled away and dominated the Lady Longhorns 25-14.

When I asked Coach Brittany about her thoughts on this past week’s games, she said:
Overall, it was a successful week for the Lady Pioneers, with both the Varsity and JV teams securing victories. “It was a great week to be a Pioneer! Our Varsity had a clean sweep against Fort Benton and North Star. We continue to find our groove and team chemistry, which is coming together more and more each day. I am super proud of our girls for finishing!”
“We will be selling raffle tickets for a quilt at the rest of our home games this season! All proceeds will be going to the Heppne family. You do NOT need to be present to win. Your support will make a difference, and we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming games!”
