The Lady Pioneers win over Fort Benton (3-2), also celebrated their Seniors

The Lady Pioneer volleyball team was so much fun to watch this past week! It was senior night in Big Sandy and the ladies hosted a very tough Lady Longhorn team. What an intense back and forth match against Fort Benton. The sets were so entertaining and these ladies worked so hard to pull away from the Lady Longhorns. They played a best of 5 and the Lady Pioneers won 3-2. Those scores were: 27-29, 25-10, 18-25, 25-17, and 15-13. The team and individual stats from that game are:

Assists: 33 with Jai Baumann having 31 of them

Kills: 39 with Eva Yeadon having 17 of them

Blocks: 9 with Keira Galbavy having 7 of them

Aces: 9 with Keira, Eva, and Korbyn Jurenka each having 2

Coach Brittany had this to say about her team: "I was unbelievably proud of my team on Senior Night! Our JV won in 3, which was super fun to watch and our Varsity battled all night long and came out on top! It was such a great feeling to win, especially considering we had to adapt once again, with one of our starters being out this week. I was happy to see us finish and I was thrilled for our seniors, as it's always such an important night for them. It's a good day to be a PIONEER!"

If you want to watch this victory you can go to the Big Sandy High School Facebook page and watch a video of the five matches. The power outage from the weekend before fried the electric components of NFHS. Hopefully fixed by the next home game.

The Lady Pioneers played at home on Tuesday against the Lady Bears of Box Elder and on the 22nd were they will play CJI. The CJI matches will be an intense game.

With 4 games left on their schedule before Districts, make sure you go out and support these young ladies!
