Toni was born on September 1, 1936, in Cleveland, OH, to Joseph and Anna (Sztraka) Toth. She was raised in Garfield Heights, graduating from high school there in 1954. After high school, Toni lived in Rhode Island for a short time, and then moved to California where she worked for United Airlines. She met Charles Comp, and the couple married in Reno, NV, on May 30, 1959. Toni worked for several years in California as a data information processor and also as a seamstress, while raising her children. The family moved to Corvallis and then White Sulphur Springs, Montana, for Charles' work, and there, Toni worked as the secretary to the superintendent of schools and at the local newspaper office. Their last move had them settling in Big Sandy, where Toni cared for their home. Throughout her adult life, she worked at home as a seamstress, making and repairing clothing and other household goods.

Toni enjoyed gardening, working puzzles and word puzzles, computer games, and cooking. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, quilting, and sewing of any kind, especially needlepoint. Time with her family was a precious commodity to her, and she and Charles loved to travel to visit friends together.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Comp; parents, Joseph and Anna Toth; and brothers, Jim (Lois), George (Anita), and Bill Toth.

Toni is survived by her children, Chris Comp of Havre and Kirsten Shelor of Chinook; three grandchildren, Shirley Comp, Sara Comp, and Zane Shelor; three great-grandchildren, David, Carissa and Dillon; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Ruben and Jane; and several great friends.
