The Big Sandy Christmas Stroll is an important tradition in Big Sandy. The Christmas Stroll Button is pivotal for the success of the event. The students of Big Sandy School enter a contest and enter their design for the button. The winners of the button design contest are London Keane, 8th grade, and Korbyn Jurenka, 9th grade, Ella Chauvet 5th grade, Owen Terry, 4th grade, Ni-ve Washburn, 12th grade, Jamie Jones, Junior.
You can purchase the buttons for $10 each at The Grocery Store, although they have sold out of children's buttons, The Big Sandy Pharmacy, The Senior Center, Hair I Am, Agri Farm Insurance, and the Club.
You must have the button in attendance Saturday night to claim your prize when your number is called. You can see all the prizes on display at First Bank of Montana. However, the main prizes for the adults are $1000 Valley Furniture, Four Burner Gas Griddle, 55 inch TV, Ninja Creami, a Roomba, an Air Fryer, and a Kitchen Aide Mixer. There are 30 kids' prizes for children 12 and under. The main prizes are an iPad, Beats Solo, xBox, 30-inch TV Hoverboard, Scooter, Keyboard, and Trampoline.
The button draw will start at 6:00, immediately after the parade of lights, which starts at 5:30 sharp! The parade has $500 worth of prizes.
This year, children have two opportunities for holiday pictures: one with Santa at the breakfast at the Senior Center between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. and one with a pair of snowmen, which is something new this year.
