Local ranchers donate beef for schools

In true Pioneer fashion, Big Sandy's Pioneer Producers are leading the way in farm-to-fork beef for schools. This fall local ranchers came together and donated 12 cows to be butchered and turned into ground beef for use by the school and senior

center for the upcoming year. These animals are currently being processed and will be stored in our new freezer outside of the fire hall.

A recent article published by Montana Ag Network states "Big Sandy is perhaps the only school in Montana now serving up beef that is born and raised less than 10 miles away from the school's front door."

We have received donations to our nonprofit program in the form of cattle, cash, and labor. We are so grateful for the generosity of our community who has stepped up in a huge way to help feed our schools and senior center! Thank you to each and every one of you!

If you are interested in joining our cause, become a sponsor at any level prior to March 1st, 2025 to become a "founding member" of Pioneer Producers! Our sponsorship levels are as follows: Gold $10,000 donation or greater; Silver $5,000 donation; Bronze $1,000 donation; or "Pioneer Producer" being the donation of 1 cow. For our local farmers, we are also able to accept donations in the form of grain. We will be honoring our founding members via plaques that will be placed on our freezer in the spring of 2025.
